About Me

I am a Radiation Oncologist with more than 20 years of international experience across Chile and Australia, having trained and practised across public and private cancer centres on two continents, and undertaken visits to leading cancer institutions in the United States.

Currently based in Rockhampton, Queensland, I manage a broad range of tumour streams including breast, prostate, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, hepatobiliary, thoracic and palliative malignancies. My clinical practice centres on advanced contemporary radiotherapy techniques — IMRT, VMAT, stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) — with a particular focus on precise, high-dose treatments for complex and oligometastatic disease.

What sets my practice apart is a commitment to evidence-based decision-making and a strong interest in the responsible use of artificial intelligence in oncology — particularly in how AI can support clinicians with literature synthesis, clinical documentation, treatment decision support and patient education, while preserving expert clinical judgement and patient-centred care.

I hold a Doctor of Medicine (magna cum laude) from the University of Chile, completed specialist training in Radiation Oncology at the Universidad de Valparaíso, and was awarded my Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists in 2021. I previously held an academic position as Conjoint Associate Professor at the School of Medicine, Universidad de Valparaíso.
